What are your thoughts when you hear the words, “mental health.” Does it make you feel different, abnormal, or out of place with your family, friends, or your community? Better yet do you feel limited on the things achieved with your life? Do you ever wonder the root causes of your anxiety, depression, or even your personality disorder? What we don’t hear enough is trauma has a huge influence on our mental health and overall health. If you answered, yes or maybe to any of my questions above then you came to the right page!

My name is Jessica Melford and I am a social worker. If you're wondering why you should have a social worker as the therapist, well we look at a holistic approach when working with our clients, meet clients where they are, provide evidence based treatment interventions, and provide empathy and empowerment!

The beautiful part about going to therapy is having the opportunity to claim time for you and focus on your needs so you can create the version of yourself you want to see. “Becoming isn’t about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim. I see it instead as forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously toward a better self.
